Getting started

Cartfilo installs like any other Shopify App Store app — no separate account, no API keys to manage yourself.

1. Install from the App Store

Search for Cartfilo in the Shopify App Store, or use your direct install link, and approve the requested scopes. Cartfilo requests read access to your products, inventory, and orders — it never requests write access to your catalog.

2. Let catalog sync finish

After install, Cartfilo pulls your current catalog into its own index so it can answer instantly without hitting Shopify’s API on every shopper message. This usually finishes within a few minutes for most catalogs; larger catalogs may take longer. You’ll see a sync status indicator in your admin dashboard.

3. The widget is already live

Cartfilo adds itself to your storefront as a theme app extension — there’s no template to edit. If you use a heavily customized theme, confirm the app embed is toggled on under Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds.

4. Try it yourself

Open your storefront and type a real request into the widget, the way a shopper would. That’s the fastest way to confirm everything is wired up correctly before shoppers see it.

Next: Customizing the widget.
